Humpty - Painting the Egg Case

Step by Step - Humpty Portrait:

  1. 1.To begin, paint the outside of your easter egg case with the eggshell coloured paint (the colour of Humpty!). You may need to do 2 coats.
  2. 2.Using the beige felt, cut out Humpty's arms and legs and set aside.
  3. 3.Take the black wool wrap it around your hands a bunch of times to create Humpty's hair – tie some black wool in the middle to secure it. Draw Humpty's eyes on 2 white sticker dots with a black marker.
  4. 4.Cut a strip of white and green felt, lay them over the painted eggshell shape and trim the edges to fit. Cut a V shape out of each collar shape and glue to Humpty's body. Take the red sticker dots and place on the bottom half of his body (you could always draw the dots on with a red marker).
  5. 5.Add a white pompom for a nose, stick his eyes on, and use a red marker to draw on Humpty's smile!
  6. 6.Use tracing paper to draw around the egg shape of Humpty and cut it out.
  7. 7.Layer up the textured pattern paper, glue together and using the template cut out the egg shape. Decorate the background however you’d like – we made a colourful brickwall.
  8. 8.Using coloured card cut a frame, slightly small than your Humpty. We scalloped the edges but you can decorate however you’d like.
  9. 9.Humpty is ready to hang on your wall!
