In short:

Global energy giant ENGIE is issuing up to 3,000 South Australian customers with a price "correction" after questioning about increases.

ENGIE insists the issue is confined to SA, but critics including the state's energy minister, Tom Koutsantonis, say the market is broken.

What's next?

The Australian Energy Regular says it is "aware of and will engage further with ENGIE on this issue" and encourages customers with concerns to contact their local energy ombudsman.
