In short:

A $739 million package will support veterans to reintegrate with civilian life under expanded "rehabilitation plans" that will fund social activities, learning and community programs.

The Department of Veterans Affairs will also begin funding medicinal cannabis and MDMA and psilocybin treatment where eligible, with funding to develop other modern treatment methods.

What's next?

The enhanced veterans supports will be funded over four years from 2025–26.
