In short:

More than 300 Tasmania Fire Service volunteers will be terminated after they failed to complete mandatory child safety training.

The TFS says it provided support to help volunteers complete the training, and extended the deadline to give them more time.

What's next?

Fire and Emergency Management Commissioner Jeremy Smith says there will be a review to "work through the issues that have been highlighted" with the training.
