The Tasmanian government has released a summary of public submissions on its wild fallow Deer Management Policy Review. 

A diverse range of opinions were shared including submissions calling for wild deer to be declared as a feral species.

What's next?

The government says it will consider the feedback and respond in "due course with any permit, licensing or deer policy changes".
