Tasmanians will this week get a chance to meet and greet with Danish King Frederik and local-born Queen Mary on the last leg of their six-day Australian tour.
The royal couple has announced they will greet members of the public along Hunter Street, in Hobart's waterfront area, from 4:30pm this Thursday.
It is the Danish royals' first official trip to Australia since they were crowned King and Queen in 2024.

Their last official visit to Tasmania was in 2005 as the Crown Prince and Princess of Denmark.
The royal couple first met in Sydney during the 2000 Olympics before getting married four years later.
Tasmanian-born Queen Mary Donaldson grew up in the Hobart suburb of Taroona, attending school in the state's south, before going on to study commerce and law at the University of Tasmania.

Alongside Tasmania, the Danish royals are also visiting the Australian Capital Territory, the Northern Territory and Victoria.
Tasmanian Premier Jeremy Rockliff described the visit as a rare and exciting opportunity, urging Tasmanians to attend.
"This is a significant national event, and it's fitting for Tasmanians to be able to welcome Queen Mary home in person,"he said.

"I encourage all Tasmanians to come along, bring flags, wear tiaras, and show the king and queen what makes our state the most magnificent place in our country."
Mr Rockliff confirmed Hunter Street would be closed to traffic for their majesties' visit, but did not specify how long the closures would last.
He said bollards would be put in place either side of Hunter Street so Tasmanians had maximum opportunity to meet and engage with the royal couple.
