In short:

Tasmania's opposition and crossbench have combined to pass three integrity and transparency motions in parliament.

The minority government opposed the creation of a committee scrutinising last year's state election campaign, but supported forcing state-owned businesses to keep public registers of RTI requests.

What's next?

The government will consider whether to begin releasing cabinet documents after 30 days, which the parliament has called on it to do.
