Natalie Whiting is the ABC's North Asia correspondent, based in Tokyo. She was previously the broadcaster's Papua New Guinea correspondent and has also reported for the ABC from Europe and the Middle East.
Natalie is a video journalist and started her career with the ABC in the outback city of Broken Hill before being based in Orange, Sydney, Adelaide, Hobart, and Melbourne. She has worked across a range of the ABC's news and current affairs teams, including 7.30 and AM/PM.
Natalie has won several awards for her reporting, was an Andrew Olle scholar, and a two-time finalist for the Walkley Young Journalist of the Year. For her reporting from PNG, she was awarded the ACFID Media Award, the Sean Dorney Grant for Pacific Journalism and was a finalist for the Lowy Institute Media Award.
