WA Police Homicide Squad investigating after woman found dead at Banksia Grove home

WA Police homicide detectives are investigating the death of a woman at a home in Perth's northern suburbs.

Police received a report about 9am on Thursday that a woman was found unresponsive at a home on Mayali Bend in Banksia Grove.

Police and St John ambulance officers attended but the 42-year-old woman was declared dead at the scene.

In a statement, police said a man in his 40s was assisting them with their inquiries.

A large contingent of police and forensics officers remained at the scene into the evening.
